We seek an enthusiastic, highly motivated post-doctoral fellow to work on mechanisms of axon
degeneration/regeneration in the visual system.
The candidate will work in Nawabi’s lab at the
Grenoble Institute of Neurosciences (GIN) under an ERC funded project.
Techniques used will include (but not limited to) molecular biology, biochemistry, primary cultures and state of the art live-imaging microscopy.
Model systems are primary adult mouse tissue culture, transgenic mice. The project will focus on intrinsic mechanisms of regeneration of the optic nerve.
We offer a close supervision in a motivated team and a stimulating scientific environment.
PhD with good record of publications but with no more than 2 years after getting PhD. Strong background in neuroscience, molecular and cellular biology and imaging are required.
The laboratory is part of the GIN, an INSERM and Grenoble Alpes University research center devoted to understanding brain functions in health and diseases. The GIN provides with the state of the art platforms and technologies.
Grenoble is an active research city in France located three hours from Paris by train.
