The Department of Structural Biology at St. Jude is seeking faculty candidates working in the area of membrane proteins by cryo-EM and/or X-ray crystallography. St Jude has established a world-class cryo-EM center that in its first phase includes a 300kV Titan Krios and a 200kV Talos Arctica microscope, both equipped with K3 detectors. Funds for the purchase of an additional Titan Krios in the near future is also available. The cryo-EM center is supported by three PhD-level staff scientists. Production of membrane proteins will be further supported by the new Protein Technologies Center operating within the department.

Successful candidates must hold a PhD degree and have at least 3 years of relevant postgraduate experience in structural biology studies of membrane proteins. Successful applicants are expected to develop and lead a world-class research program that addresses important problems in biomolecular systems of wide scientific and medical interest.
