A Postdoctoral Research Scientist position is available immediately. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated individuals whose primary responsibility will be to investigate the role of a novel B cell subset, ABCs (Autoimmunity/Age-Associated B cells), in autoimmunity. The main focus of the lab is to exploit state-of-the-art molecular and genomic approaches, animal models, and patient-derived samples to dissect the cellular and molecular networks that become dysregulated in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and Rheumatoid Arthritis (please see our recent work in Nature Immunology, Nature Communications, and Annals of Rheumatic Diseases). Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree and a strong background in immunology, flow cytometry, molecular biology, and biochemistry, as well as experience with murine models of autoimmunity.

The Hospital for Special Surgery is affiliated with and adjacent to Weill Cornell Medical College and embedded in a vibrant research environment encompassing Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Rockefeller University.
