A tenure track faculty position is open for foreign scientists to preferably begin March 1, 2019 in the areas of 1) Microbial Pathogenesis, 2) Computational Biology. The opening is limited to non-Korean scientists. The responsibilities of this position include both research and teaching. Teaching will be conducted in English. The applicant should have postdoctoral experience with strong research background and achievements. Also, the applicant should have a Ph.D. degree and meet all requirements of the Seoul National University Appointment Regulations as a full-time faculty in the tenure track. Competitive set-up expenses and stipends for 70% of graduate students are provided.
Also, governmental research grants are applicable for research. The school offers an excellent environment for collaborative research and is equipped with state of the art research facilities. Currently the school has 50 faculty members including 2 foreign faculties, 480 graduate students/postdocs, and 300 undergraduate students. The university will provide relocation support and fringe benefits including teacher’s pension and national medical medication insurance. Faculty housing (2 to 4 bed rooms upon family size) is also available for three years with comparatively lower deposit and monthly fee.
