As part of its Neuroscience Initiative, WPI invites applications for an open rank tenured or tenure-track position in Neurobiology in the Department of Biology and Biotechnology to begin in the fall of 2019.
• Applicants should have a strong track record in Neurobiology research and a Ph.D. in the life sciences or a closely related discipline. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a robust, externally funded research program in Neurobiology that complements and intersects areas such as, but not limited to: connectomics, cellular and molecular neurobiology, developmental neurobiology and disease, immunobiology, and systems biology. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the newly established Neuroscience Initiative at WPI (www.wpi.edu/+neuroscience) which promotes broader campus-wide cross-disciplinary activities in neuroscience. This initiative stimulates collaborations between research groups with different expertise including biology, biochemistry, chemistry, bioinformatics and data science, biomedical engineering, and physics.
