Our lab focuses on vascular development and disease as well as myofibroblasts in lung development and fibrotic disease. We apply basic developmental biology, genetic/genomic and biochemical approaches to uncover key insights into the morphogenesis and pathogenesis of the blood vessel wall during development and diseases. We have a strong interest in expanding our studies into single cell analysis, computational biology and human genetics/genomics. We currently have projects focusing on the following areas: i) pulmonary vasculature and pulmonary hypertension; ii) atherosclerosis, aorta and elastin arteriopathy; iii) cerebral vasculature and intracranial hemorrhage; and iv) lung myofibroblasts in development and fibrotic disease.
