ABOUT THE CIBR
The Chinese Institute for Brain Research, Beijing (CIBR) was established in March, 2018 by the Beijing Municipal Government and seven institutions in Beijing. As a pillar for the Chinese Brain Initiative, CIBR aims to support a vibrant interdisciplinary program in neuroscience and its related disciplines, with interests in both basic and applied research, ultimately helping to improve human health.
CIBR is governed by The Board of Trustees (BOT) and appointed Dr. Yi Rao from Peking University and Dr. Minmin Luo from NIBS as co-directors of CIBR in 2018.
CIBR is now recruiting scientists to lead individual labs and independent postdoctoral fellows to further their research in an innovative and cooperative center emphasizing academic quality.
THE VACANCIES and BENEFITS
Principal Investigators (PIs)
Applications for PI positions at multiple levels are welcome. PIs are expected to carry out outstanding research in any areas of neuroscience and brain-inspired computing.
Qualified PI candidates should usually have a doctoral degree with appropriate postdoctoral training. Successful candidates are selected based on their scientific qualifications regardless of age, gender, nationality, or ethnicity. CIBR supports the qualified candidates to apply for relevant national programs.
CIBR provides generous start-up packages, internationally competitive salaries/benefits, and 6-year stable funding which is renewable upon successful reviews by an international committee. CIBR is establishing state-of-the-art core facilities for cutting-edge biomedical and computational technology, strong administrative supports, and outstanding graduate and postdoctoral programs. These resources enable each PI to freely pursue research of long-term major impact.
CIBR invites applications for multiple Research Fellow positions, which are expected to carry out outstanding research in any areas of neuroscience and brain-inspired computing.
Qualified Research Fellow candidates should have obtained a doctoral degree in the past two years. Successful candidates are selected based on their scientific potentials.
CIBR provides benefits including funding, research space, senior advisors and initial appointment period of 5 years.
