Your Job:

Quality assurance of the measurements and validation of the data Analysis of the distribution of nitrogen oxides from the observations and establishment of a climatology Investigation of possible sources of nitrogen oxides, as well as their atmospheric chemistry and transport, with a particular focus on global air quality objectives Comparison of climatologies from IAGOS observations with results from chemistry transport models and remote sensing, in close cooperation with our modelling group and with partners from other European projects such as Copernicus

Your Profile:

Doctoral degree in chemistry, physics, meteorology or a comparable discipline Profound knowledge in atmospheric chemistry and physics, and a strong interest in international collaboration Besides strong technical and organizational skills, it is expected that the results of the research are presented in peer reviewed publications and at international conferences Proven experience in data analysis and programming skills using state of the art software tools, such as Matlab or Python, is a requirement Experience in atmospheric transport modelling using, e.g., FLEXPART or LAGRANTO, is of Advantage Profound knowledge of English language is mandatory
