Tenure Track Fellowships (2 Posts) Grade 8
£39,992 – £50,618 pa
We are seeking to appoint up to three Tenure Track Fellows. Whilst we will consider individuals working in any area relevant to our research strategy, we are especially keen to appoint in the areas of research related to computational biomechanics, epigenetics, muscle physiology and cell biology of regenerative medicine.
We encourage applications from promising researchers who wish to develop their careers to a higher level within an outstanding academic environment. You should have an excellent CV with evidence of success in attracting external funding and high quality publications plus a PhD in a relevant research area. Tenure Track Fellows join a defined development programme that includes high quality support and mentoring to build their independent research and teaching career. You will be expected to bring in external funding, develop and deliver high quality teaching and successfully supervise PhD students.
Subject to satisfactory review through the normal University confirmation in appointment process, we expect Tenure Track Fellows to be confirmed in post at the end of year 3. However, the TTF can be extended to up to 5 years depending on circumstances. The Fellow will be expected to demonstrate ability to conduct world-class research, the potential to become an international leader in their research area and to show effective contribution to academic activity at Department/Institute/University level including research-led teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
