The successful candidate will work at MRC-University of Glasgow Centre for Virus Research (CVR) (http://www.cvr.ac.uk//) and contribute to a newly established research project focussed on virus evolution and the immune response to infection with hepatitis C virus (HCV). Specifically, the work aims to identify the determinants of spontaneous clearance and response to treatment using clinical samples from a number of well-characterised cohorts with early hepatitis C infection.
The post holder will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project, as opportunities allow.
Salary will be on the University’s Research and Teaching Grade, level 6 £28,098 – £31,604/
level 7, £34,520 – £38,883 per annum.
