We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the group of Dr Yung-Yao Lin at the Blizard Institute for a collaborative research project with the group of Prof Jennifer Morgan at the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health to investigate stem cell based regenerative medicine for treating muscular dystrophy.

Potential candidates will have a PhD degree in a relevant subject and with a strong track record of scientific accomplishment. Experience with mouse models, stem cell culture, molecular cell biology, advanced light microscopy and flow cytometry are highly desirable. The appointee will work as an effective member of the team and ensure the smooth running of the research project in both sites.

The internationally renowned Centre for Genomics and Child Health at the Blizard Institute, Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, and Dubowitz Neuromuscular Centre at the UCL Institute of Child Health provide state-of-the-art infrastructure and core facilities with highly experienced supporting staff. The appointee will have access to a wide variety of cutting-edge technologies to facilitate their research project, as well as interaction with other researchers across a wide range of biomedical sciences. The post is full time, fixed term appointment for 3 years, with an expected start date of September 2018. Starting salary will be in the range of £32,956 – £34,764 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
