2. Introduction of recruitment platform

The Laboratory of terahertz solid-state technology is an innovative research platform established in 2010, focusing on scientific research and industrial application of advanced technologies in the fields of infrared, mid-infrared, terahertz, and millimeter wave frequency. The laboratory has an advanced research and development platform for molecular beam epitaxy materials, compound semiconductor process and device testing. Focusing on innovation and the future development, we welcome and encourage outstanding young investigators with professional knowledge and great aspirations to join us.

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with your talents. For each research group, 3 million RMB Yuan of start-up funds would be provided by the institute. The laboratory will provide ample development space. Furthermore, the institute would help YIs form research groups consisting of young researchers in relevant scientific research fields.

The main research areas of Terahertz lab include:

(1) Material and device based on molecular beam epitaxy, including but not limited to molecular beam epitaxy material growth technology for infrared, mid-infrared, and terahertz devices, design and fabrication of infrared/mid-infrared lasers and detectors, molecular beam epitaxy engineering technologies.

(2) Terahertz quantum devices and applications, including but not limited to physics, design and development of terahertz lasers and detectors, terahertz optical frequency comb technology, terahertz high resolution imaging, and high speed communication technology.

(3) Millimeter wave electronic devices and applications, including but not limited to physics, module design, process technology, and application of millimeter wave electronic devices.

3. Recruitment Requirements

Successful applicants should hold doctorates in relevant fields, and have high-quality of achievements (e.g. publications), excellent scientific literacy and outstanding scientific vision in the above fields. In addition to professional capabilities, we also value applicants’ strong interest and research spirit in their professional fields, as well as good teamwork ability. This call for applications is particularly targeted at young scientific researchers. Thus, in principle, applicants should not exceed 35 years of age.
