At the Faculty of Medicine of Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn is a

W3 Professorship for Medical Didactics
(focus on digital-supported teaching)

to be filled on a permanent basis.

The professorship is to develop and manage the field of medical didactics, medical teaching and examination development and medical-educational research at the faculty. The focus will be on the development and evaluation of digital-based teaching and examination formats. The professorship is to actively support the institutes and clinics of the Faculty of Medicine in the (further) development of curricula and the implementation of new teaching and examination formats, also with regard to the implementation of the Master Plan 2020. Extensive expertise in the conception, implementation and scientific evaluation of innovative and interdisciplinary teaching and examination formats is expressly desired. Formal medical-didactic or pedagogical-psychological additional qualifications as well as experience in leading a scientific working group and acquiring competitive third-party funds are expected.
The professorship is intended to strengthen the cooperation between the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bonn and the Faculty of Life Sciences of the University of Siegen. This applies in particular to the new Bonn-Siegen degree program, which poses particular challenges in the field of cross-location teaching.
The professorship will lead the Institute of Medical Didactics at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bonn. Close networking with other institutes in the field of educational research at the University of Bonn and other locations in the field of medical didactics is expressly desired.

The successful applicant must have an university degree in human medicine, dentistry, psychology or another medical or pedagogy-related subject, a habilitation or equivalent scientific achievements according to Section 36 Higher Education Act NRW as well as experience in teaching.
