W2-Professorship Pharmaceutical Technology
The Faculty is looking for a researcher (m/f/o) who has proven himself through excellent publications and who represents the subject of pharmaceutical technology in research and teaching. The research focus will be on a field of pharmaceutical technology, where innovative drug formulations in pharmaceutical-technological applications and their physicochemical and biological characterization should be central issues. For the multidisciplinary research at the faculty, a professorship with clear competence in the field of pharmaceutical technology is necessary. Experience in the acquisition of third-party funding and cooperation with industry is required. Approbation as a pharmacist and experience in the industrial field of pharmacy are desirable. The position involves teaching in pharmaceutical technology in German language in the education of pharmacists. In addition, theses are supervised in the diploma program Pharmacy.
Candidates are expected to cooperate closely with the professorships of the Institute of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Biological Sciences and neighboring faculties (Chemistry and Earth Sciences, Medicine) in the field of innovative materials, microbiology or aging research. The expertise of Pharmaceutical Technology can be integrated in existing research consortia (SFB1278 PolyTarget, Septomics and the associated centers JCSM und CSCC).The willingness to cooperate with working groups of subject-related areas of the university and non-university institutes, such as the Leibniz Institutes for Aging Research, Natural Product Research and Infection Biology and Photonic Technologies, and the associated priorities of university research is assumed.
Conditions of employment include a doctoral degree and habilitation or an equivalent scientific qualification as well as the ability to teach. A proven record in the acquisition of third-party research funding and leadership skills are expected. If the successful candidate meets the legal requirements, he or she will be appointed as civil servant permanently.
