W2-Professorship for Experimental Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Research (Successor for Prof. Dr. J. Deschner)

The future holder of the position is to represent experimental dental, oral and maxillofacial science in research and teaching. The position holder (m/f/d) assumes the task of leading the section of the same name within the Center for Dental Medicine in assignment to the management of the Center.
The tasks of the advertised position include maintaining and expanding an existing interdisciplinary scientific structure. Interest in dental topics, sound knowledge of molecular biology and molecular genetics, extraordinary motivation and flexibility as well as the ability to work in a team and the willingness to cooperate on an interdisciplinary basis are prerequisites. The establishment and application of a joint project (SFB) for university dentistry is expected.
Networking with the main research areas of Bonn University Medicine and the Center for ZMK is a prerequisite. Scientific excellence should be documented by appropriate publications and third-party funding. The applicant should also make a comprehensive contribution to the teaching of the Center. Leadership experience is desired.
Applicants must have a degree in dentistry, medicine or natural sciences, including a doctorate. Recruitment requirements are habilitation or equivalent scientific achievement according to §36 Hochschulgesetz NRW.
