Seven Bridges aims to transform healthcare by developing innovative technologies to address the next level of challenges in representing and understanding the diversity of the human genome and the changes that lead to disease. Through the use of novel data structures, advanced query and analytical procedures we aim to develop software that can robustly, accurately and quickly identify diverse molecular changes relevant for human health.

Responsibilities:

The Vice President of Computational Biology will work closely with the Chief Scientific Officer, the Graph Product Director and Graph Technology Director to ultimately build and deliver the best possible outcomes for Seven Bridges, our customers, and ultimately patients. In support of this aim, the Vice President of Computational Biology will:

Oversee full life-cycle of computational biology offerings from greenfield exploration to validated clinical products.

Develop, test, and iterate on go-to-market strategies to capture maximal value of Seven Bridges technologies.

Provide expertise and guidance on technology applications including research initiatives, data access, technology transfer etc.

Engage experts at client/partner organizations and synthesize scientific needs to facilitate actionability by the development team.

Develop and participate in technology transfer partnerships with both nonprofit and for-profit organizations to enable enhanced test cases and demonstration of superior results

Present Graph technology and success stories both in verbal and written format

Fully understand and support execution of top priority deliverables to support both short and long term growth

Enhance visibility by communicating schedules, priorities, and status updates to the team, leadership and stakeholders

Oversee and grow individual capacities of team members with a particular emphasis on facilitating communication, collaboration and engagement

Qualifications:

Advanced degrees (Masters/ PhD/ MBA) and/or relevant experience in both scientific (bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics) and business domains.

Experience creating successful outcomes via cross-functional, geographically distributed teams

Demonstrated experience of productive engagement with large organizations (public/private), leading to partnerships and revenue.

Ability to ask questions, constantly learn, adapt, and evolve

Demonstrated ability to support team members and facilitate personal development/growth

Ability to manage uncertainty, demonstrate good judgement and incorporate data into decisions whenever appropriate and feasible
