The Gianna Angelopoulos University Lectureship in Medical Therapeutics
Department of Engineering
Applications are invited for a University Lectureship in Medical Therapeutics at the University of Cambridge. This is a tenure-track position based equally in the Department of Engineering and the Department of Physics. We particularly encourage applicants who complement current research within the Electrical Engineering Division and Biological and Biomedical Physics in these respective Departments, as well as more broadly across the University, and who are motivated to explore interdisciplinary collaborations. The successful candidate will be expected to have a research program related to the development of electronic/photonic devices applied to medical therapeutics with translation to industry and clinical practice.
The successful candidate will have, or be expected to develop, a record of world-class research commensurate with the international reputation and top-rank research rating of the Departments.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute exciting and innovative teaching material to courses in the Engineering and Natural Sciences curricula, and with the Gianna Angelopoulos Programme in Science Technology and Innovation (GAPSTI). Teaching and administration will account for approximately 40% of the role. Teaching responsibilities will include contributing to undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising undergraduate projects, as well as examining and supervising postgraduate students.
The position is based in both the Engineering and Physics Departments in Cambridge with the post being administered by the Engineering Department. We particularly encourage applications from women, minorities and underrepresented groups.
