The area of research is open but should fit within the broad scope of chemical and biological sciences, with emphasis on the interface between them in the context of disease and drug discovery.

Scripps Research — one of the world’s largest, private, non-profit biomedical research organizations — is ranked the most influential institution in the world for its impact on innovation. SZBL strives to become a hub for world-class research at the forefront of health science and innovation. The joint institute combines the expertise of both institutions to pursue basic and translational research at the intersection of biology and chemistry.
Qualified candidates should have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree, with postdoctoral training or industrial experience, and an outstanding record of research that demonstrates originality at addressing significant questions. Successful candidates are expected to establish an active research group and pursue a program of high-quality research that will result in breakthrough discoveries or technology advancements.
Scripps Research | Shenzhen Bay Laboratory Chemical Biology Institute welcomes applicants of all nationalities and will provide an internationally competitive start-up package and salary. Successful candidates will also receive a joint appointment from PKU Shenzhen Graduate School. The initial appointment will be 5 years and renewal is based on reviews by an international committee.
