The Institute of Quantum Biophysics, the Department of Biophysics at the Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in South Korea seeks outstanding applicants for a tenure-track position, with expertise in quantum biophysics or biology to begin March 1, 2021 or thereafter. Candidate should have expertise in all areas of molecular biophysics including but not limited to theoretical or computational quantum biophysics, biological electron transfer, computational molecular biophysics, or neurobiophysics. Preference will be given to applicants with but not limited to theoretical, computational, experimental quantum biophysics or biology. The search is focused on applicants who would like to challenge both fundamental and applied quantum biophysics or biology and establish the foundation of precision medicine and healthcare technologies. We welcome applicants who would enjoy exciting convergence sciences via collaborating with our current working groups. All faculty ranks will be considered equally.
Candidate should have a Ph.D., MD, or equivalent degree in biology, biophysics, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, engineering, and/or related field of study. All faculty candidates must demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence, service, and active scholarship. For candidates with prior teaching experience, teaching evaluations are required. Candidates are expected to establish a well-funded, internationally competitive research program and teach at both the graduate and professional levels.
