The Institut Sophia Agrobiotech (ISA) is seeking experienced researchers to reinforce its research on plant-parasite and plant-symbiont interactions. ISA welcomes applications from mid-career principal investigators willing to apply to INRA and/or CNRS contests for permanent research positions (“Directeur de Recherche”).
ISA is a Research Centre supported by the Université Côte d’Azur, INRA (Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique), and CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique). ISA is composed of 11 research groups (200 people total) and is located on the Sophia Antipolis campus, which is the first technopole in Europe. ISA provides an attractive multi-model environment with plants, microbes and invertebrates that favor synergistic discussions and in-house interactions.
The successful applicant will be provided a 50m² office and laboratory space and a 50 k€ starting grant provided by the Université Côte d’Azur. He/she will have free access to state-of-the-art technological platforms (bioinformatics, cell culture, metabolomics and proteomics, imaging/live imaging, histology) and to facilities dedicated to transgenic plant and pathogen manipulations. Facilities for high-throughput sequencing, FACS, proteomics, and electron microscopy are available on campus (Laboratory of excellence SIGNALIFE).
Candidates are welcome to contact Philippe Castagnone (email@example.com) and to send their application before June 20th, 2019. Applications should be sent as a single pdf file including a cover letter, a CV, a short description of achievements and the proposed research program. Contact details for 3 professional references are also welcome.
