Quadram Institute Bioscience (QIB) is at the forefront of a new interface between food science and health. QIB’s state-of-the-art research laboratories are housed in the Quadram Institute, a new purpose-built building that includes a Clinical Research Facility and one of Europe’s largest endoscopy departments. The Quadram Institute enables scientists to work directly with clinicians to understand how food and the gut microbiota are linked to the promotion of health and the prevention of disease.

This is an exciting time to join QIB and we are seeking to appoint a Senior Research Scientist to lead QIB’s Food Innovation and Health Programme. The post holder will drive scientific leadership and direction to continue the development and growth of the programme into the future.

Applicants for this senior leadership role will have a Ph.D. a substantial research portfolio, and a successful track record of securing significant grant funding. We are particularly interested to hear from candidates who have achieved internationally-recognised success in areas such as clinical nutrition, personalised nutrition, nutrigenomics, and who are interested in establishing novel collaborations with scientists and clinicians in areas of gut health and the microbiome.
