We announce the opening of a

Scientist / Postdoc (f/m/x)

position, starting date June 1st, 2020. This full-time position is initially limited to two years with possible prolongation. Salary is according to the public sector scale (E13, 100 % TV-L).

We expect active and enthusiastic engagement within the group of Prof Rolf Jessberger in one of the following research areas: (1) the role of newly identified proteins in spermatogenesis and / or oogenesis; (2) the function of specific gene s and proteins in tumorigenesis; (3) mechanisms of IgE production in B lymphocytes. The very international work environment within the Institute offers excellent research infrastructure and expertise within the Technische Universität Dresden, one of the few elite universities in Germany. The position comes with obligatory involvement in German-speaking teaching in biochemistry and molecular biology of students of medicine.

We are looking for applicants withgenuine scientific interests and abilities combined with the strong desire to successfully carry out attractive research projects and to publish the results, with the ability to work largely independently and integrated in a team, well developed communication abilities within and beyond science, loyalty, open mind for interactions and innovation. A good command of the German language is required for teaching. Expertise in academic teaching and / or supervision of students is an Advantage.
