Scientist or Senior Scientist

ATDBio is an oligonucleotide synthesis company specialising in the synthesis of high quality modified oligonucleotides, with labs in Southampton and Oxford. We supply oligonucleotides for COVID-19 testing and our oligonucleotides are also used all over the world in academic and commercial research in the fields of genetics, genomics, molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology and nanotechnology.
ATDBio has several positions available in Oxford and one position in Southampton for scientists to carry out oligonucleotide synthesis and analysis, in addition to other laboratory work. Jobs are available at various technical and research levels at the Oxford laboratory. A PhD-level synthetic chemist position is available at the Southampton laboratory. The posts are available immediately for an initial period of 6 months.
The successful candidate will have
• at least an undergraduate degree in chemistry (or a related discipline), and some experience working in a chemistry laboratory.; a PhD in a relevant area is desirable
• experience in nucleic acid chemistry desirable but not essential
• experience with HPLC and mass spectrometry; experience working with Waters LCMS systems is highly desirable
• proven ability to work well both individually and as part of a small team
• excellent spoken and written English
• the ability to keep accurate laboratory records and work in a neat and clean environment.
• experience with ISO 9001 is desirable
