Based in greater London, NovalGen is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing breakthrough therapies for cancer, inflammatory diseases and immune related disorders. The current, main focus is on adoptive immunotherapy for cancer using cutting edge technologies including CAR-T cells.
We are looking for motivated, hardworking candidates to support the development of the Company’s next-generation immunotherapy platform that focuses on bispecific technology. NovalGen’s pipeline is broad but balanced, going after clinically validated targets with the potential of becoming ground-breaking novel therapeutics. We are looking for individual with a creative mind who wish to develop the therapeutics of tomorrow.
This is a full-time position and attracts a competitive salary together with other benefits including a performance-based bonus.
As a Scientist level I-III, you will join a rapidly growing world-class team and will have the opportunity to play a part in shaping the growth of this exciting new biotechnology start-up. You will be part of the preclinical team and your primary role will be the identification, engineering, characterisation, validation and production of new targets. In addition, you will actively participate in all tasks required for target development to support preclinical as well as clinical studies. You will be required to stay current with relevant scientific literature, present project results to internal and external parties, prepare reports and maintain accurate and detailed experimental records.
- PhD with experience in protein/antibody engineering
- Post-doctoral experience will be an advantage
- Expertise in protein biochemistry
- Experience in all aspects of molecular biology and mammalian cell culture technique
- Strong working knowledge of antibody structure and function
- Background in immunology/infectious disease preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent publication record to date
- Team player with ability to work independently
- Experience of engineering proteins/antibodies will be an advantage
