Job description:

As German Research Center for Environmental Health, Helmholtz Zentrum München pursues the goal of developing personalized medical approaches for the prevention and therapy of major common diseases such as diabetes mellitus, allergies and lung diseases. To achieve this, it investigates the interaction of genetics, environmental factors and lifestyle.

Our research group at the Research Unit Gene Vectors investigates the T cell response against human viruses to develop immunotherapy of infection and associated cancer. In collaboration with Asian industry partners, we are now investigating T cell receptors (TCRs) for clinical application of TCR-transgenic T cells in the near future.

Your mission


analysis of human virus-specific T cells and their TCRsgeneration of TCR-transgenic T cells using viral vectorsanalysis of T cell function in vitro against human pathogenic viruses and cancer cellscommunication of results and perspectives including work visits to Asia

Your qualifications


PhD in a related topicstrong background in relevant fieldsexperience in T cell culture and analysis (optimally)analytic thinking and experimental reliabilitystrong communication and organization skillsvery good English
