The Cellular and Molecular Biology department at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has an open Researcher position available. In this role you will elucidate the pathogenic mechanisms underlying genetic forms of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and related diseases using a wide range of approaches including molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, behavior, and state of the art imaging.This position assists the research team with the collection and analysis of data for specified research projects in an entry-level capacity.
The ideal candidate would have a background in molecular biology, biochemistry, and genetics.
- Properly conducts specific, but limited, projects and maintains efficient laboratory operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific area is required. Will also consider current students with an anticipated graduation date within 3 months of application. Verification of degree is required prior to start date.
