As German Research Center for Environmental Health, Helmholtz Zentrum München pursues the goal of developing personalized medical approaches for the prevention and therapy of major common diseases such as diabetes mellitus, allergies and lung diseases. To achieve this, it investigates the interaction of genetics, environmental factors and lifestyle.
We are looking for a highly motivated research technician to join our international research team at the Institute for Diabetes and Obesity (IDO) of the newly established Helmholtz Diabetes Center (HDC) in Munich. The Helmholtz Center Munich is a member of one of the leading research associations in Europe – the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers.
Research Technician, m/f/d (MTA/BTA)
Experience in handling and breeding transgenic mice (genotyping, database management)Organization and execution of in vivo mouse experiments Biochemical and molecular analyses such as qPCR, western blot, ELISA, IHCBasic cell culture workDocumentation of results and processes in English
Education as a research technician (BTA, MTA) or an equivalent degreeMolecular biology and biochemistry skillsExperience in working with mice; experience in cell culture is an advantageGood written and spoken English skillsHigh motivation, flexibility and reliabilityWillingness to take charge of organizing the daily lab routine
