We are seeking to appoint a talented Research Support Assistant to support a new National Institute for Health Research (NIHR)-funded study that aims to improve the health of older adults, through producing better evidence to support vaccine decision making. It is an exciting opportunity for a talented researcher to be involved in a portfolio of research projects on topics such as: understating contact networks which allow the spread of infection, how vaccine preventable disease impacts quality of life, variations in vaccine uptake and how vaccine strategies should be reassessed. The post-holder will be based in Population Health Sciences within the Bristol Medical School.
The post will suit individuals with an interest in qualitative and quantitative research methods, and some experience of undertaking applied health research. Knowledge and understanding of how to analyse large datasets and/or qualitative data analysis methods would be beneficial. There will be significant training and development opportunities for the post-holder, including the possibility of conducting a funded PhD alongside the Research Support Assistant role.
