Salary: £33,000 – £42,000 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience (plus discretionary bonus, pension contribution, health scheme etc.)

We have an immediate opening for a Research Scientist / Senior Research Scientist with good working understanding of Physiologically-Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models. Candidates should have in-depth experience of gathering and analysing physicochemical, in vitro ADME data and in vivo pharmacokinetic data from literature sources. The post will involve research and development of PBPK models for compounds as well as development of data files containing physiology information on different populations of interest.
The post does not include laboratory or clinical work. We offer a unique and exciting mix of academic and commercial environments which encourage regular attendance at scientific meetings as part of continuous education programs. All scientists are expected to participate in writing scientific reports relevant to their work under the guidance of our world-leading senior scientists.
PhD in Pharmaceutical Science, Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics or related fields.
Good working knowledge and understanding of modelling and simulation principles of PBPK models.
In-depth experience of literature data gathering and analysis.
Demonstrable communication skills, as evident by presentation at scientific meetings, and good interpersonal and organizational skills.
Scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals
Familiarity with the Simcyp Simulator Company
