Research Scientist (f/m/d) – Stem Cell
Full-time and permanent

Your key responsibilities

  • Support generation of a high quality iPSC bank
  • Create optimization experiments for manipulating iPS cells during culture, banking and differentiation
  • Establish working routines at the SOP level for the general handling and differentiation of pluripotent iPS cells
  • Create experiments towards meaningful Quality Control of iPS cells and its derivatives
  • Develop R&D projects to explore iPS biology and differentiation pathways
  • Maintain an awareness of cutting edge technical developments and scientific knowledge to improve project performance
  • Work collaboratively with project teams and customers to meet defined goals in time
  • Deliver documents, technical reports and presentations in an accurately and timely manner
  • Represent Evotec’s stem cell capabilities internally and externally

Your ideal qualifications

  • PhD in Biology or other relevant field and relevant postdoctoral experience; experience in the industry is desirable
  • Profound knowledge and hands-on expertise of maintaining and manipulating human pluripotent stem cells
  • Experience in iPSC reprogramming, gene editing or phenotypic screening
  • Working experience in drug discovery from pharmaceutical or biotech industry is a plus
  • High level of motivation, initiative, flexibility and ability to work well in a cross-functional team
  • Excellent communication & people skills and experience in managing and mentoring junior staff
  • Ideally first experience in leading a team
  • Ability to work independently and to contribute to the progress of your projects
  • Good command of the English language – both written and spoken
  • Work experience abroad is desirable
