We are looking for a postdoctoral scientist to join work on the European Union-funded ATHLETE project on investigating human chemical exposures. The work involves researching the risks of combined chemical exposures that lead to brain damage in babies and children. The work addresses a recognised gap in chemicals regulation which currently does not protect from the risks from multiple chemical exposures.
You are a life scientist (PhD), ideally with a background in endocrinology, toxicology, pharmacology or allied disciplines.
Working with Professor Kortenkamp you will become involved in project research related to chemical mixture risk assessment relevant to developmental neurotoxicity from heavy metals, polybrominated diphenyl flame retardants, phthalates and other chemicals. You will play an important role in work which will shape future biomonitoring strategies in Europe and beyond.
The post involves frequent travel to EU countries.
Informal enquiries can be made to Professor Andreas Kortenkamp at email@example.com (no applications should be sent by email to this address)
Closing date for applications: 24 July 2020
