This project, which is part of a larger goal in the lab to better understand the origins of the eukaryotic cell division cycle, will involve using molecular genetics, biochemistry, microscopy and super-resolution live imaging at 75°C to study chromosome segregation and cell division in Sulfolobus acidocaldarius.
