The Center for Genomics and Systems Biology (CGSB) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications from individuals to be appointed as a Research Engineer in the Chemical and Functional Genomics group.
We are seeking an experienced research engineer with expertise in database design and data management to support a high-throughput chemical and functional genomic screening facility at NYU Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate should have Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent and will work closely with lab personnel to build infrastructure and assist with data curation, organization, and analysis. Primary responsibilities will include:
• Manage a LIMS for high-throughput chemical and genomics screening data
• Maintain and develop database framework
• Maintain a pipeline for HTP image processing and archival
• Oversee data uploads of HTP image data and associated metadata
• Perform QC of data integrity
• Implement summary reports of screening statistics
• Integrate data from multiple data sets for analysis and interpretation of screening data
• Assist laboratory personnel with directed data analysis questions.
The project will be based at NYU Abu Dhabi and will be supervised by Dr. Kristin C. Gunsalus.
