£41,526 – £52,560 pa

A Research Co-ordinator position in materials chemistry is available in the group of Professor M J Rosseinsky FRS. This position involves the development of new research directions and the performance of research work, together with supervision of less experienced researchers. You should have a PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or Computer Science, and an excellent publication record, and at least 2 years postdoctoral experience of internationally leading research. High-level skills in materials chemistry and demonstrated ability to take responsibility in research organisation are essential. Candidates with expertise in battery materials and battery electrochemistry are particularly encouraged to apply, though we are open to a broad range of skills that should be shown to be relevant to group activity in the application. Candidates without battery experience should be willing to acquire these skills and demonstrate how they have acquired new skills in previous roles, particularly skills that were new to their research group at the time. The role is ideal for an ambitious individual with an intellectual curiosity, the ability to think creatively and the desire to be a part of a multidisciplinary, dynamic research environment.
