About This Position
The Clinical Translational Research Site at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, has an exciting career opportunity for a Compliance Specialist in Research. The Compliance Specialist promotes healthcare compliance within UHealth/University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Additionally, this position contributes to the success of the compliance program by strategizing compliance risk assessment, summarizing, and documenting research compliance-related policies, procedures and documentation reviews. The Compliance Specialist assists with the preparation and maintenance of files for the research-related activities at UHT.
Associate’s Degree in a healthcare related field of study with at least one year of relevant healthcare experience. RMC, CPC, CHC, CHA, CCS or CPMA certification preferred but not required. Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office). Knowledge of processes associated with clinical trials, IRB. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.

Patient safety is a top priority. As a result, during the Influenza (“the flu”) season (September through April), the University of Miami School of Medicine requires all employees who provide ongoing services to patients, work in a location (all Hospitals and clinics) where patient care is provided, or work in patient care or clinical care areas, to have an annual influenza vaccination.
