Research Associate in Vascular and Skeletal Biology

The research programme in Integrative Skeletal Physiology Lab led by Dr Saravana Ramasamy focuses on understanding the functions of bone microenvironments in health, regeneration and disease.
Integrative Skeletal Physiology Lab is a team of scientists that study fundamentals of physiology using advanced research tools to understand the basic biology. We use the knowledge to enhance tissue repair and design therapeutic strategies for managing blood and bone diseases. We seek highly motivated individuals with a strong passion for research to join our team as postdoctoral research associate scientists. We have two open positions to investigate vascular functions in skeletal ageing and tissue regeneration.

Duties and responsibilities
You will manage your academic and administrative activities. This involves project management to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines, and present detailed research outcomes and proposals.
You must have
- A PhD in any field of biology or equivalent research, together with relevant practical experience.
- Strong background in cell and molecular biology, and understand fundamental concepts in the field
- Willingness to work with the mouse model systems and independently manage a research project.

Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as Research Assistant within the salary range £35,477- £38,566 per annum
