The Department Experiment control and data acquisition is looking for


Research Associate for scientific process development in the HMC project (f/m/d)


Tasks



  • Independent identification, description and utilisation of processes, tools and services to utilise research data collections
  • Unification of data formats due to coordination of descriptions of processes, tools and services
  • Coordination of the requirements management within the HMC matter
  • Coordination of the technical format and interface of central services to all hubs and working areas
  • Development of concepts for automatic capture of meta data and coordination of this task

Requirements

  • University degree in natural science or engineering
  • Reliable mastering of design and planning techniques (multi threading etc.)
  • Sound and specialised knowledge in the area of research data management (keeping and processing of research data in a scientific environment)
  • Sound knowledge of common programming languages (python, web, C/C++, JAVA etc.)
  • Knowledge of byte definitions, file formats and data streams
  • Knowledge of data transfer systems
  • Experience with national and international research projects
  • Sound knowledge of meta data standards and formats
  • A high degree of flexibility and motivation as well as quick familiarisation with new topics
  • Working independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent level of English and German language (presentation and writing skills)
