We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Research Associate to join the Marioni laboratory at the CRUK Cambridge Institute to develop mathematical and statistical approaches for understanding the mechanisms of cell fate decisions during early mammalian development.

The Marioni group is a world leader in computational biology, with a particular interest in developing methods that exploit high-throughput genomics data to understand the molecular mechanisms that underpin cell fate decisions in the contexts of normal development and in cancer. The successful applicant will take advantage of unique datasets, incorporating spatially and temporally resolved single cell genomics and imaging data, to understand cell fate decisions during early mammalian development.
The post is part of a larger collaboration with investigators in Cambridge and elsewhere that is focused on understanding the mechanisms that underpin cell fate decisions during mammalian gastrulation.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, creative and competent individual with excellent experience in computational biology. You will require skills in mathematics, statistics and modelling and will benefit from substantial previous experience in the analysis of genomic data. Experience with single-cell genomics data would be advantageous. The successful candidate should show initiative and independent thinking, possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant discipline.
