The Rogosin Institute is a not-for-profit medical care and research organization affiliated with New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medicine. Rogosin is one of the premier centers for the diagnosis and management of kidney disease in the country. The Institute also treats patients with diabetes, hypertension, lipid disorders and cancer and conducts research in these areas.
The Kidney Regenerative Medicine Laboratory at The Rogosin Institute is looking for an experienced Research Associate, Cell Culture. This research laboratory focuses on understanding how we can generate kidney tissue that faithfully reproduces adult kidney functions. Job duties include but are not limited to organizing and maintaining the mammalian cell culture facility and associated reagent repositories and databases. S/he will perform cell culture work and must have experience in mammalian cell culture, preferably of pluripotent stem cells. Other skills that will be considered include experience working with adeno-, adeno associated-, and lenti-viruses, flow cytometry, immunostaining, confocal microscopy, and mouse handling.
Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, genetics with three (3) years related work experience or Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, genetics.
The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, an ability to work independently and good communication skills.
