Salary: Grade 6: £28,660 - £34,189 p.a.
Applicants are invited for a Research Assistant working in the field of single cell genomics. The Single Cell Genomics Facility at the Institute has pioneered the development and application of single cell technologies to study human biology and disease. You will be involved in a range of cutting-edge single cell genomics projects delivered through the Facility. The post will therefore provide an exciting opportunity to develop skills in the rapidly developing field of single cell genomics applied to study human disease. There will also be excellent opportunities for personal career development.
You will have a degree in a biomedical related area with experience in molecular biology, genetics/genomics. Proven administrative and project management skills with the ability to problem solve and work on own initiative are essential. Experience of Illumina sequencing technology and single cell genomics, lab automation and cell biology techniques would be desirable.
The position is available immediately for 12 months in the first instance, with the potential for further funding.
