The Rogosin Institute is a not-for-profit medical care and research organization affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medicine. Rogosin is one of the premier centers for the diagnosis and management of kidney disease in the country. The Institute also treats patients with diabetes, hypertension, lipid disorders and cancer and conducts research in these areas.

The Kidney Regenerative Medicine Laboratory at The Rogosin Institute is looking for an experienced Research Assistant. This research laboratory focuses on understanding how we can generate kidney tissue that faithfully reproduces adult kidney functions. The applicant will organize and maintain the research laboratory, reagent repositories, databases, and mouse colony, and will place orders for experiments. The applicant must have experience handling mice. Other useful skills that will be considered include mammalian cell culture, mouse injections and surgery, Western blotting, QPCR, immunostaining and confocal microscopy.

Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, genetics with two (2) years related work experience.

The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and time-management skills, strong attention to detail, and good communication skills.
