Position Summary

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic applicants for a full-time research technician position in the laboratory of Dr. Dilek Colak in the Brain and Mind Research Institute at Weill Cornell Medical College. The Research Technician will work with patient-derived stem cells and grow cerebral organoids as well as do cryo tissue sectioning and perform immunohistochemistry. 


·      Minimum requirements: Bachelors of Science, Bachelors of Arts, or equivalent 4-year undergraduate bachelors degree, preferably with a major in neuroscience, biology, or a

related field. 

·      Applicants must be able to commit to working in the lab for at least two years. The starting date should be around April.

·      Skills and abilities: ability to work independently, ability and willingness to learn new techniques and ability to work as part of a team.

·      Prior lab experience, including pipetting, routine operation of instruments, cell/tissue culture, induced pluripotent stem cells and neural differentiation are a must.
