The Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (MEB) is among the largest departments of epidemiology in Europe with special focus on increasing our knowledge of the aetiology of different diseases. Our department consists of researchers, doctoral students, biostatisticians, data collectors and database administrators as well as administrative personnel, in total some 250 staff. Patients with inflammatory bowel disease are at increased risks of several kinds of cancers. This ongoing project will investigate if changes in management and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease have influenced cancer risk and aim to develop a prediction model to guide individual management and optimal risk reduction. The study findings will be relevant for millions of patients who suffer from these life-long diseases world-wide.Your mission

Since the records will be read in Swedish the applicant needs to master the Swedish language. The applicant should have a medical degree. Experience of working at a department of surgery or gastroenterology is meritorious.What do we offer?
