INL is seeking a talented and motivated Junior Fellow to support an interesting research & innovation project within the KET4CP programme. The main goal of the project is to provide innovative coating solutions for industrial applications. The work will be conducted at the Nanochemistry Research Group of the Micro and Nanofabrication Department at the INL.
Job Role & Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate for this position will contribute to the design, synthesis, development and testing of nanomaterial-containing formulations for innovative metal and glass coatings. In this role, the successful candidate is expected to follow the trends in nanomaterials, coatings and additives.
Job Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:
  • Master Degree with 0-5 years of experience in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry and Material Science;
  • Hands-on laboratory experience with nanomaterials;
  • Experience with inks and coating formulation;
  • Experience in formulations with a preference for the coatings industry is a plus;
  • Experience in characterization of the nanomaterials is a plus;
  • Strong literature and patent searching skills;
  • Project and time management skills;
  • Knowledge of lab safety;
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 policies and guidelines.
Personal Skills
  • Strong drive to carry out research in the proposed topic;
  • Solid motivation to work both independently and as part of a team in an interdisciplinary project;
  • Good track record of disseminating research results.
  • Ability to be creative and practical;
  • Maintain a safety mindset and focus;
  • Desire to continually enhance personal skills and knowledge.

English is the working language of INL. Therefore, excellent communication skills in English are required.
