Description: The Kohanbash Lab at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a postdoctoral associate for research on radionuclide imaging (PET/SPECT) in brain tumors. The successful candidate will develop immunoPET tracers to monitor immune cell activity in brain tumor models in response to immunotherapy. Additional projects may include the development of theranostics for brain tumor therapy. The candidate will work on NIH-funded projects and will be encouraged to develop their own ideas in a fun and collaborative setting.

The successful candidate will bring unique expertise to a multidisciplinary team including bioinformatics, radiomics, immunology, tumor biology, and clinicians. The candidate will receive training in brain tumor modeling and immunology techniques. Our well-funded laboratory is an energetic and motivating environment for scientific growth with aim to adopt independent careers.


Qualifications: Applicants should have a PhD in medicinal chemistry, organic chemistry, biological chemistry, or equivalent field. Prior experience in radiopharmaceutical chemistry is essential. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required.
