We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person with a scientific research background who wants to move into an interesting, administrative role to support the cutting-edge work of Professor Eric Miska at the Gurdon Institute. You will assist the Group Leader with the preparation of reports, manuscripts, grant applications, the monitoring of grant expenditure, promoting the work of the group on social media and liaising with collaborators and sponsors in the absence of the PI. You should be keen to keep up to date with relevant scientific publications and will be a fully incorporated lab member, attending and contributing at regular lab meetings.
The successful candidate should have a PhD in biological science, or equivalent experience. Exceptional organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Experience of dealing with large scale budgets would be desirable and the ability to work as part of a team or independently is also important.
Although this is a full-time role, we welcome applications from candidates wishing to work part-time.
Limited funding: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
