Principal Scientific Officer (PSO) – Air Quality Research leader
SALARY: £48,829 – £53,518 (under review)
DEPARTMENT: Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute Northern Ireland (AFBI)
LOCATION: AFBI Headquarters, Newforge Lane, Belfast, BT9 5PX
AFBI are seeking an enthusiastic, internationally recognised research scientist to lead a programme of work addressing air quality from agricultural activities. The successful candidate will join a team of researchers working across a spectrum of environmental issues with the overall goal of enhancing our natural capita. The candidate will also be able to integrate fully with AFBI’s livestock and land based research teams and associated platforms. Outcomes from the programme of research will inform policy and ultimately provide solutions to stakeholders to achieve sustainable farming.
Further appointments may be made from this competition should AFBI positions become vacant which have similar duties and responsibilities.
