We are looking for a Postdoctoral Scientist to join the group of Dr Benjamin Falcon at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) to study structures of neurodegenerative disease-associated protein assemblies from human brain using cryo-EM.

You are highly motivated, have a PhD in a relevant subject, and have a strong background in protein biochemistry or molecular neuroscience. Prior experience in any of structural biology, amyloid research, electron microscopy, and image processing (light or electron microscopy) would be beneficial.

You will become part of our newly established, friendly and supportive team working on challenging projects in neurodegeneration using cryo-EM and will benefit from additional interactions with the wider scientific community at the LMB.

The successful applicant will be awarded a 3-year Career Development Fellowship / Postdoctoral training Scheme position. This is a training and development position for a post-doctoral scientist who has recently completed their doctoral studies, is moving into a new research discipline or has limited experience of key transferable skills. The MRC LMB has excellent scientific core facilities and training opportunities.
