A post-doctoral scholarships in experimental kidney cancer biology is available at the Division of Translational Cancer Research in the group of Prof. Håkan Axelson. Our laboratory focuses on the basic biology of kidney cancer. We are particularly interested in the relationship between normal kidney cells and the molecular landscape of different subtypes of renal malignancies (Lindgren et al., Cell Reports 2017 and Trends in Cancer, 2018). We are also developing platforms for early diagnosis of kidney cancer (Hansson et al, 2017). Projects in the laboratory involves basic biology of kidney cancer, molecular subclassification of kidney cancer, cellular adaptation to hypoxia and mouse modeling of kidney cancer.
