Postdoctoral Scholar-Bioinformatics-focused (February 4, 2020)

A postdoctoral scholar position is open immediately to join a laboratory focused on cancer and melanoma research at UCLA/Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center. The candidate is expected to have published in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals in any area of the biomedical sciences (cancer research preferred) and to have less than 6 months of cumulative postdoctoral research experience, including postdoctoral service at other institutions. Areas of research include the mechanisms of melanoma metastasis and therapy resistance, sequencing of therapies and combinations, predictive biomarkers, novel therapeutic targets, and the tumor microenvironment. Data sets are generated from mouse models, clinical trial patients and warm autopsies. The types of data include WGS/WES, RNA-seq, methylome, ATAC-seq, CyTOF, scRNA-seq and various types of epigenomic and proteomic data. Fluency in English is required, and strong communication skill is a must.
